Constanța water supply to be halted for 10 hours on July 8

RAJA SA announced that it will suspend the provision of potable water in the central area of Constanța for a ten‑hour period on Wednesday, 8 July, from 08:00 to 18:00. The interruption is required to connect a new water‑supply pipe on Ion Lahovari Street to the existing network and adjacent streets, including Topraisar, Alexandru Ioan Cuza, Constantin Dobrogeanu Gherea, Panait Moșoiu, Luminișului and Castanilor.

The affected zone is bounded by Ion Lahovari, Flămânda, Poporului, Artileriei, Ștefan Mihăileanu, Gheorghe Murea, I. Ghe. Duca and Călărași, together with nearby streets and related thermal points. The works are part of Contract CL2 – “Water and sewer networks in the central area of Constanța” – an investment of roughly 20 million lei financed through the Operational Programme Large Infrastructure (POIM). RAJA SA apologised for the inconvenience, advised residents to keep a minimal water reserve, and warned that after service resumes the water may appear turbid or discoloured due to system flushing.

The company pledged that construction teams will work to complete the intervention promptly and restore water supply as quickly as possible.
