Constanța’s culinary tradition and historic past showcased

Content creator Lili Apostol visited Constanța and met celebrated chef Ali, known from MasterChef and Chefi la Cuțite. Ali demonstrated traditional Tatar dishes such as şuberek, kobete and giantik at her restaurant on Aleea Nalbei 5, emphasizing the preservation of local culinary heritage.

Meanwhile, the National Museum of History and Archaeology Constanța (MINAC) launched the “Constanța a century ago” project. Historian Dr. Cristian Cealera explained the team’s effort to reconstruct everyday life in the city during the 1920s‑30s, its economic peak, and the social habits of residents. The research also highlighted Princess Ileana’s personal connection to the port, where she kept her yacht “Isprava” and frequently sailed.

Both initiatives underline Constanța’s rich cultural layers, from its food traditions to its interwar history.
