Constantin Robicek suffers severe injury in Romanian Liga 2 match

Constantin Robicek, the 37-year-old captain of CS Afumați, suffered a severe open fracture during a Liga 2 match against SC Popești Leordeni. The incident occurred in the 22nd or 25th minute of the game when Popești Leordeni attacker Mihai Neicuțescu slipped and collided with Robicek's leg during a challenge.

Medical personnel and an orthopedist arrived on the pitch to provide immediate assistance before Robicek was transported by stretcher to the Military Hospital for emergency surgery. The severity of the injury has led to concerns that it may end the veteran defender's professional career.

Referee Cristian Vîrgolici issued a yellow card to Neicuțescu following the incident, a decision that drew criticism from spectators and the CS Afumați camp. SC Popești Leordeni won the match 2–0, with goals scored by Leafu and Taiwo.
