Constantinian Order celebrates Holy Cross feast in Piacenza

The Piacenza delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George held a solemn religious service to celebrate the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross on September 14. The ceremony took place at the Caserma Nicolai, the headquarters of the 2nd Engineer Pontieri Regiment.

The mass was officiated by Monsignor Gianni Ambrosio, Bishop Emeritus of Piacenza-Bobbio and Prior of the Order, assisted by Vicar Prior Don Stefano Antonelli. The event was attended by several high-ranking military officials, including Brigadier General Daniele Durante, Commander of the Piacenza military garrison, Brigadier General Roberto Cernuzzi, and Colonel Daniele Paradiso, Commander of the 2nd Engineer Pontieri Regiment.

The service was held in the regiment's historic chapel, which was recently consecrated and serves as a jubilee church for 2026 in honor of the centenary of the Military Ordinariate. The feast commemorates the tradition of Saint Helena finding the True Cross in the Holy Land in 327 AD, an event central to the identity and spirituality of the Constantinian Order.
