Constanza hosts fourth edition of paella culinary competition

The fourth edition of ‘El Reto de la Paella’ took place in Constanza, La Vega, bringing together 19 culinary enthusiasts to compete in two categories: Paella Valenciana and Paella Marinera.

Hosted at the Moncarlo restaurant by owner Carlos Matías Quesada, the event aimed to promote Constanza as a cultural and tourism destination. A panel of judges evaluated the dishes based on flavor, presentation, texture, and the presence of ‘socarrat’.

In the Valenciana category, José Miguel Berlanga took first place, followed by Ricardo Almanzán and Daniela Acevedo. In the Marinera category, Ronald Sánchez secured first place, with María Elena Ditrén and Kaiky Richardson taking second and third, respectively.
