Constellation Brands' Veracruz Brewery slated to open before Feb 2027
Constellation Brands is constructing its third Mexican brewery in the Gulf‑coast state of Veracruz. The plant is scheduled to begin operations before the end of the company’s fiscal year in February 2027. The company has already hired 600 workers, who are undergoing training, and plans to add another 20‑30 percent of staff before full commercial launch.
The Veracruz facility will produce Mexican‑origin brands such as Corona and Modelo for the United States market. Unlike the firm’s inland plants, the new brewery will ship finished beer by sea from the Port of Veracruz, reducing reliance on truck and rail routes. The project was relocated from Baja California after water‑scarcity concerns and will join Constellation’s existing sites in Coahuila and Sonora.
