Constitutional Court of Indonesia reviews multiple judicial petitions

The Constitutional Court of Indonesia is processing multiple judicial reviews involving various national laws. In one case, petitioner Sri Sugeng Pujiatmiko is challenging Articles 62 (5) and (6) of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). The petitioner argues that the lack of clear time limits for transferring case files from investigators to prosecutors creates legal uncertainty and violates constitutional rights.

Additionally, the Court is scheduled to issue rulings on 18 different judicial review petitions. These include challenges to the Higher Education Law regarding study program accreditation and private university costs, the Maritime Law concerning the authority of Bakamla, and the 2026 State Budget Law. Other petitions involve laws governing waste management, social security, and oil and gas.
