BHRT does not owe RTRS 17.7 million KM, rules Supreme Court
The Supreme Court of Republika Srpska has overturned a previous decision regarding a financial dispute between the Public Broadcasting Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHRT) and Radio Televizija Republike Srpske (RTRS). The court accepted a revision filed by BHRT, ruling that the broadcaster does not owe RTRS 17.7 million KM related to the use of radio transmission links.
BHRT stated that this ruling is a significant legal victory, affirming that its claims are based on law and factual evidence. The broadcaster emphasized the need for consistent and non-selective application of judicial decisions. Despite this legal success, BHRT noted that its accounts remain blocked, a situation that threatens the stability of its operations and the livelihoods of its employees.
