Construction advances at UNViMe Medical Faculty in Villa Mercedes

The University National of Villa Mercedes (UNViMe) is progressing with the completion and commissioning of Module I of its campus, which will host the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Work is focused on the building’s roof systems, including removal of deteriorated insulation, sealing of metal panels, reinforcement of anchorage, and replacement of missing screws. In the coming days, expanded polyurethane will be applied to the north wing for thermal insulation, and aluminum membranes are being installed on flat roofs to improve waterproofing.

Interior works have also begun, with granite flooring laid in future classrooms and the assembly of suspended ceiling structures after electrical installations are finished. The provincial government reactivated the project to finish the previously stalled 3,200‑square‑metre building, aiming to provide modern facilities for training future health professionals in Villa Mercedes.
