Construction advances on Alberto Díaz Sports Pavilion in Alhaurín de la Torre

Construction of the Alberto Díaz Sports Pavilion in Alhaurín de la Torre has entered a new phase with the installation of the large metal structure following the completion of foundation work. The project, which is co-financed by the Alhaurín de la Torre City Council and the Diputación de Málaga, represents a total investment of 2.7 million euros.

The facility will be dedicated to basketball and will cover a total area of approximately 3,900 square meters. The main building will occupy over 1,700 square meters and feature a central court measuring 45 by 24 meters. This layout allows for three transverse courts and one longitudinal court to facilitate simultaneous matches and training sessions in accordance with Andalusian sports regulations.

Key amenities will include separating curtains, designated circulation zones for athletes and spectators, locker rooms, and auxiliary spaces. The pavilion will provide fixed seating for approximately 350 people, with the capacity for expansion via supplementary stands, and will include an outdoor parking area.
