Construction closures block roads in Rosenheim and footpaths in Augsburg

In Rosenheim, the outer Münchener Straße between Krainstraße and Aicher Park has been closed to motor traffic from today until Wednesday, 19 August, to allow asphalt resurfacing and the rebuilding of the Mangfallkanal bridge. A temporary pedestrian bridge remains open, and a detour is signed for drivers. The works were scheduled for the school holidays to minimise disruption.

In Augsburg’s Textilviertel, a footpath along the Schäfflerbach has been blocked by heavy construction fencing for several months. Residents complain that the barrier prevents access to the walkway, while city officials cite safety concerns and have reinforced the fencing. The closure has sparked local frustration but no official comment has been provided on a timeline for reopening.
