Construction industry leaders convene in Costa Rica for regional meetings

The Colegio Federado de Ingenieros y de Arquitectos de Costa Rica (CFIA) has appointed industrial engineer Javier Chacón Hernández as its new Executive Director. The appointment, effective September 30, 2026, follows a selection process conducted by an executive recruiting firm to address modernization within the organization.

In a separate regional development, the Panamanian Chamber of Construction (Capac) participated in the 94th Board of Directors Meeting of the Inter-American Federation of the Construction Industry (FIIC) held in San José, Costa Rica. Led by Director General Antonio Docabo, the meeting brought together representatives from construction chambers across 18 Latin American countries to foster cooperation, exchange best practices, and address common industry challenges.
