Construction sector updates focus on legal liability and industrialization

Developments in the construction sector are being addressed through legal analysis in Argentina and industrial innovation in Spain.

In Argentina, Dr. Gerardo Rondina is conducting a study on civil liability within construction contracts following reforms to the National Civil and Commercial Code. The analysis covers damage classifications, such as total or partial ruin and apparent or hidden defects, as well as the legal significance of work reception and maintenance manuals. Rondina also proposes a “Pyramidal Theory of Responsibility” to provide economic rationality to construction guarantees.

In the Canary Islands, the Association of Builders and Developers of Las Palmas has launched the first conference on Industrialized Construction Strategy. The initiative focuses on Construction 4.0 and Modern Manufacturing Methods (MMC) to improve sustainability, efficiency, and address labor shortages. The project is supported by the Government of the Canary Islands to foster a technological ecosystem within the regional supply chain.
