Consulate General of India in Toronto celebrates Ayurveda Day 2026

The Consulate General of India in Toronto, in partnership with the Canadian Ayurvedic Practitioners Association, celebrated ‘Ayurveda Day 2026’ on the theme ‘Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow’. The event, marking the 11th Ayurveda Day observed by India’s Ministry of AYUSH, focused on the relevance of Ayurveda to preventive health, holistic well-being, research, and innovation.

Consul General Mahavir Singhvi addressed the gathering, noting that the observance serves to deepen awareness of ancient knowledge and strengthen engagement between India and Canada regarding traditional knowledge and preventive healthcare. During the program, Singhvi released the book ‘AYURVEDA@HOME’, authored by Vaidya Harish Kumar Verma and Rohit Mehra, which provides practical guidance on integrating Ayurvedic principles into daily life.
