Consumer advice for purchasing Makita tools and Milwaukee bit sets

When purchasing Makita tools as gifts, consumers should verify battery compatibility to avoid unnecessary costs. Makita utilizes different platforms, including 12V max CXT, 18V LXT, and 40V max XGT. Because these systems are not interchangeable, buyers are advised to check the battery label and charger model number of the recipient's existing equipment before choosing between a tool-only option or a full kit.

In separate retail news, a Milwaukee 35-piece Shockwave impact-duty screwdriver bit set is available as a Black Friday deal at Home Depot. The set includes a Packout-compatible case and a variety of 2-inch power bits in popular sizes, such as Phillips, square, slotted, and Torx. The assortment is noted for its value compared to purchasing individual bit packs.
