Key advice includes avoiding the refinancing of debts without prior consultation and not taking new loans to pay off existing ones. The municipality noted that many households are facing distress due to high levels of indebtedness for essential goods like food and medicine.

In Mexico, the National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services (Condusef) is urging the public to seek orientation regarding issues with banks or insurance companies. Condusef provides specialized advisory services to help users defend their rights. Assistance is available through remote options, such as an online chat and telephone lines, as well as in-person visits at various locations, including offices in Juárez.
