Contact Protocol announced as new space job simulator

Kinetic Games, the developer of Phasmophobia, has introduced its new publishing label, Kinetic Publishing Showcase. Among its first announced projects is Contact Protocol, a space-themed job simulator developed by Cold Zephyr Games.

Set in a cassette-futurism setting featuring CRT monitors and spacecraft, the game tasks players with acting as a security officer aboard the Pale Horse. The mission involves monitoring mining operations for the company GalCo during a journey to Jupiter’s largest moon. Players must use administrative tools and data analysis to evaluate incoming vessels and determine if they are friendly or hostile.

Failure to perform duties correctly may result in consequences from the employer. The title is scheduled for release on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2027.
