Contagem to host dog and cat adoption fair this Saturday

The city of Contagem will host a responsible adoption fair for dogs and cats this Saturday, October 17, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The event will take place at the Eldorado Craft Fair.

Prospective adopters must be over 18 years old and provide identification, proof of residence, and sign a responsible adoption agreement. All candidates are required to undergo an interview prior to adoption. Those interested in adopting a cat must also bring a transport carrier.

The animals available for adoption will be dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped. The Contagem City Hall will guarantee the neutering of puppies once they reach six months of age. The event is organized by the Superintendency of Animal Defense through the Municipal Secretariat of the Environment, with support from the Eldorado Regional and the Municipal Committee for Animal Welfare.
