Contemporary art exhibitions announced in Italy

Two contemporary art exhibitions are scheduled in Italy. At the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Cavalese, the exhibition ‘Jacopo Dimastrogiovanni. Festina lente’, curated by Elsa Barbieri, will run from December 5, 2026, to April 4, 2027. The show features the artist’s Iniuria, Humanitas, and Mirror series, exploring figurative painting through a process influenced by Baroque traditions.

In Canelli, Palazzo Irreale will host ‘Frammenti di durata’ from September 20 to October 25, 2026. Curated by Maria Chiara Valacchi, the exhibition features Ludovica Carbotta and Jacopo Benassi. Carbotta will present ‘Die Telamonen’, including a site-specific installation titled ‘Fausto Telamone’, while Benassi will perform a sonic work titled ‘Rivoluzione (musica analfabeta)’ alongside musician Michele Lombardelli.
