Contemporary art exhibitions featured at MUSAC and Museo Amparo
The MUSAC (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León) in Spain continues its mission to promote contemporary art and stimulate artistic creation. Since opening in 2005, the museum has been recognized for its architecture, which received the Mies Van der Rohe Award in 2007. Designed by Mansilla y Tuñón, the building is notable for its colorful facade composed of over 3,300 colored glass panels.
In Puebla, Mexico, the Museo Amparo is hosting “El hogar que habito. Obras de la Colección FEMSA.” This exhibition, running from September 26, 2026, to January 25, 2027, features 110 works by 60 Latin American artists. Curated by Eugenia Braniff, Paulina Bravo, and Beto Díaz Suárez, the collection explores the concept of home as a social, cultural, and bodily construct rather than a purely architectural one, drawing on the philosophical ideas of Peter Sloterdijk.
