Contemporary art exhibitions open in Kepez and Leverkusen

Several contemporary art exhibitions are opening in Turkey and Germany. In Kepez, the ‘IZ’ Invited Contemporary Ceramics Exhibition is being hosted by Kepez Municipality at the Dokumapark Modern Arts Gallery. The exhibition features 50 works by 50 different artists, including 12 professors, 10 associate professors, and 6 doctoral lecturers, alongside independent ceramic artists. The collection explores themes of time, transformation, and rebirth through various technical approaches and is scheduled to remain open until October 2, 2026.

In Leverkusen, Germany, Museum Morsbroich is hosting the ‘like a warrior’ exhibition to celebrate its 75th anniversary. The exhibition features the work of artist Cihan Çakmak, showcasing both his early pieces and recent productions. Spanning eleven rooms, the exhibition utilizes photography, video, drawing, text, and sound to explore themes of identity, belonging, and gender. The display is available to visitors until November 8, 2026.
