Contemporary artists hold exhibitions in Podgorica and Turin
The Velimir A. Leković Art Gallery in Podgorica has opened ‘Vrijeme za malo nježnosti’ (Time for a Little Tenderness), an exhibition by artist Milanka Đuranović Bajčetić. The exhibition features an original visual-poetic concept where oil paintings are paired with the artist’s own narrative poetry placed on the gallery floor. Art historian Saša Čilikov noted a significant shift in Bajčetić’s work, moving from figuration toward pure abstract expression characterized by subtle color and minimalist linear indications of the human body.
In Turin, artist Manuela Vladić Maštruko is participating in the international ‘Women in Art’ exhibition held at Con/Temporary Spaces Santa Teresa from September 19 to 24. Maštruko is presenting drawings from her project titled ‘History of illness, reading, joy, sadness and old age...’. The exhibition serves as a global dialogue, showcasing various artistic perspectives on the female experience and contemporary art through a diverse range of international creators.
