Contemporary circus festivals held across Italy

Various contemporary circus and performing arts events are taking place across Italy throughout August 2026.

The Mirabilia International Circus & Performing Arts Festival is continuing its “Mirabilia On the Road” project. This itinerant initiative brings contemporary circus, urban theater, and music to the villages of the Maritime Alps. Upcoming stops include Vernante from August 21 to 23 and Chiusa di Pesio from August 29 to 30, serving as precursors to the festival’s grand finale in Cuneo scheduled for early September.

In Mestre, the “Circus Fever!” festival is being held at Parco Bissuola from August 20 to 30. The ten-day event features a variety of acrobatic, clowning, and theatrical performances by both Italian and international artists. The program includes workshops dedicated to circus arts and offers affordable ticket pricing to encourage community engagement.
