Contemporary dance festivals and performances announced in Spain
The dance scene in Spain is highlighting new productions and anniversary celebrations. The dance-theater piece “Sin embargo se mueve,” directed by Ana Vallés, marks the return of dancer Fran González to the stage. The production, which explores themes of time and movement, has received the Oh! awards for Best Show and Best Production in Asturias and is scheduled to perform at the Bergidum theater on November 7, followed by a performance at La Abadía in Madrid in December.
Meanwhile, the Migrats Dansa festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary. The festival aims to provide visibility to emerging Valencian dancers and choreographers who have sought professional development outside the region. The tenth edition will feature 41 artists between November 5 and November 29, expanding its reach to include performances in Valencia, Alicante, Castelló, Gandia, and Moncada. The event is supported by the Consorci de Museus de la Comunitat Valenciana and Espai Inestable.
