The 21st edition of the Contemporary Istanbul art fair has opened at the Tersane Istanbul complex, located at the former Ottoman Imperial Shipyards in the Golden Horn. The event features 1,372 works by 736 artists from 16 different countries, represented by 70 galleries.

Notable highlights include the debut of a sculpture by actor Johnny Depp titled ‘The Bunnyman’. The two-meter-tall white bronze piece was inspired by a drawing made by Depp’s son, Jack, and a recurring dream from the actor's childhood. The piece is provided by the Sigg Art Foundation.

Also featured is a seven-meter-tall black iron sculpture named ‘Juana’ by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa. ‘Juana’ is situated on the Tersane Istanbul esplanade and is scheduled to remain on public display until next February.
