Contemporary music festivals announced for Donaueschingen and Berlin
The Donaueschinger Musiktage 2026 will focus on the concept of polyphony, exploring it as both a musical and a social framework. Scheduled for October 15–18, 2026, the festival will feature 20 world and first premieres across 14 concerts, installations, and events. Participating artists and ensembles include the SWR Symphonieorchester, Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Resonanz, Brigitta Muntendorf, Marina Rosenfeld, and Enno Poppe.
In Berlin, the “Unerhörte Musik” series will host upcoming performances in October. On October 13, the accordion duo con:trust, featuring Marius Staible and Daniel Roth, will perform their program “Yet to Come,” which includes works by Euna Joh and Pauline Oliveros. This is followed on October 20 by the percussion and performance duo Amoeba, consisting of Alejandro Sarriegui and Moritz Koch.
