Content creators Peller and Jarvis face social media scrutiny

Nigerian content creators Peller and Jarvis have faced significant social media scrutiny following recent personal changes and marriage. Jarvis, also known as Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, drew criticism from users who body-shamed her by comparing her appearance before and after her marriage to Peller.

In response to the online backlash, Peller shaved his head in a gesture of solidarity with his wife, who had previously cut her hair ahead of their wedding ceremonies. Jarvis also addressed her critics directly on video, specifically targeting a social media user for using her images to generate engagement and suggesting the critic focus on her own life instead of making comparisons.
