Continental Confectionery Company (CCC), a joint venture between Yıldız Holding and Gumlink A/S, has released its second Sustainability Report covering the 2025 performance period. The company reported that its production facility in Ergene, Tekirdağ, achieved a 100% waste recycling rate, up from 95% in 2024.
In terms of energy and resource management, CCC documented 12,000 MWh of renewable energy—representing 31% of its total electricity consumption—using I-REC certificates. Additionally, water management initiatives successfully prevented a daily loss of approximately 95 tons of water by addressing leaks and inefficiencies in the production process.
The company has set ambitious climate targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). By 2030, CCC aims to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% and Scope 3 emissions per product by 51.6% compared to a 2022 baseline. Long-term goals for 2050 include a 90% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
Financial investments in innovation also saw growth, with R&D expenditures rising to 55.3 million TL in 2025, up from 35 million TL in 2024. Yahya Ülker, Managing Director of CCC, stated that sustainability is an integral part of their business model as they work toward a 2050 Net Zero commitment.
