Contitech adds new suspension components at Frankfurt Automechanika

At the Automechanika trade fair in Frankfurt, automotive parts supplier Contitech presented its first showing as an independent company. The booth displayed roughly 1,300 new part numbers for the year, with about 1,100 already available for order. A key addition is the "Querlenker" product group – high‑strength suspension control arms designed for precise workshop installation. The catalogue also now includes 83 extra tie‑rods for Mercedes‑Benz vehicles, new hydraulic bushings and trailing arms for BMW and Mini models, and bundled solutions for wheel bearings, water pumps and timing belts.

The exhibition marks Contitech’s organisational split from Continental’s former automotive division, now operating under the name Aumovio, and its separation from Continental’s tyre business after the sale to Lone Star Funds. In the commercial‑vehicle segment, Contitech announced expanded applications for the 2024‑launched "N7" air‑spring system, marketed as an aftermarket counterpart to the original "Tough RuNR" air spring.

Entities: Aumovio · Continental · Contitech · Lone Star Funds · Mercedes‑Benz
