Contrada del Nicchio releases commemorative book ‘Per Amore’

The Contrada del Nicchio has officially presented ‘Per Amore’, a special commemorative publication celebrating the group's victory in the Palio on August 18, 2026. The book marks the end of a 28-year wait for a victory, serving as a collective narrative of the community's emotions, memories, and shared identity.

Designed as a choral novel, the volume features unsigned articles to create a single, anonymous voice representing the entire contrada. The publication includes an interview with jockey Giovanni Atzeni, known as Tittia, who described the win as a dream come true and a tribute to his roots and family.

The book's graphic design mirrors the emotional arc of the victory, utilizing deep blue covers and symbolic imagery like the yellow star and red Greek fret from the contrada's flag. The physical production includes specialized elements such as a magnetic closure and embossed details to reflect the significance of the event.
