Contrada Fiorenza Wins Gallo d'Oro 2026 in Fermo, Italy

The Gallo d'Oro, the trophy awarded to the best marching band of the Cavalcata dell'Assunta, was contested on 29 July 2026 in Fermo, Italy. Ten contrade performed intricate choreography and music before a packed Piazza del Popolo. After judging by a six‑member panel, Contrada Fiorenza secured first place, with Contrada Capodarco second and Contrada Pila third.

Mayor Alberto Maria Scarfini praised the high turnout and the continued vitality of the festival, while regional health assessor Paolo Calcinaro thanked participants for their enthusiasm. The event featured noted judges Stefano Carnevali, Gabriele Fiocchi, Barbara Viozzi, Matteo Carnevali, Graziano Ciofi and Matteo Carducci, and highlighted the dedication of the Fiorenza tamburini and tamburine.

The competition, now in its sixteenth edition, attracted large crowds and reinforced Fermo’s cultural heritage, with organizers noting the reduced choreography time and increased technical precision among the groups.
