Controcorrente and Progetto Civico leaders meet in Sicily

The leadership of the Controcorrente movement and Progetto Civico Italia met in Castellana Sicula to coordinate strategies for upcoming elections. The meeting included mayors, administrators, and councilors from across Sicily, specifically selecting the Madonie territory to address issues common to Sicily’s internal areas.

During the assembly, the regional secretariat for Controcorrente was officially presented. The secretariat includes deputies Ismaele La Vardera, José Marano, Alessandro De Leo, and Carlo Gilistro. Other key figures in attendance or named as part of the leadership include movement founders Gandolfo Lo Verde, Marianna Piazza, and Filippo Occhipinti, as well as regional secretary Carmelo Miceli for Progetto Civico Italia.
