Control Resonant slated for Sep 24 release with up to 50 hours of gameplay
Remedy Entertainment announced that its sequel Control Resonant will launch worldwide on 24 September for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Mac. Lead gameplay designer Sergey Mohov told TechRadar that the main campaign will take roughly 30 hours to complete, while players aiming for full 100 % completion can expect up to 50 hours of playtime.
The game introduces a new protagonist, Dylan Faden, who leaves the Oldest House to confront a devastated Manhattan alongside the Federal Bureau of Control. A story recap of the original Control is built into the main menu, so playing the first title is not required, though it enriches the narrative experience. Mohov also revealed that the combat system draws inspiration from titles such as Devil May Cry II‑III and PlatinumGames projects.
Remedy is targeting sales of 1.8 million copies by the end of the release year and 4 million by 2027, underscoring the studio’s ambition for the most expansive Control project to date.
