Conventinho das Oblatas do Divino Coração wins Odemira urban rehabilitation prize

The Conventinho das Oblatas do Divino Coração in central Odemira has been awarded the 3rd Prize for Urban Rehabilitation of the Municipality of Odemira (PRUMO). Designed by architect Helena Botelho, the project was recognized by a jury for its architectural quality and its contribution to the preservation of the municipality's built heritage.

The award, valued at 5,000 euros, is part of the Odemira Reabilita program, a municipal incentive initiative aimed at the recovery and valorization of local urban heritage. The construction was carried out by the company Arménio & Ricardo – Sociedade de Construção, Lda. The conventual house is owned by the Congregation of the Oblates of the Divine Heart.

The award ceremony took place on October 5 and included officials such as Pedro Ramos, the municipal councillor for planning, and Cláudia Gaspar, president of the Alentejo Regional Section of the Order of Architects. The event also featured the inauguration of an exhibition for the 2nd edition of the Architecture Prize in Alentejo 2025, which remains open to the public at the CRIAR space in Odemira until October 19.
