Conviasa launches three new domestic routes in Venezuela
Venezuelan state carrier Conviasa announced the addition of three new inter‑city flight routes that will start in July, linking Maracaibo (Zulia) with Barcelona (Anzoátegui), Puerto Ordaz (Bolívar) with El Vigía (Mérida), and El Vigía with Barcelona. The airline said tickets will start at roughly US$130–$160 for round‑trip fares, with the Maracaibo‑Barcelona service priced from US$130, the Puerto Ordaz‑El Vigía service from US$160, and the El Vigía‑Barcelona service from US$140.
The expansion brings Conviasa’s domestic network to 36 destinations. The announcement follows recent U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) license updates that permit certain transactions related to Conviasa’s aircraft maintenance and operations, easing previous sanctions constraints on the airline.
