Convicted Rapist Captured in Maranhão after Escape from Mato Grosso

A man sentenced to nine years for rape in Mato Grosso was arrested in the town of Bom Jesus do Maranhão. The capture resulted from a joint operation by the civil police forces of Maranhão and Mato Grosso, which tracked the fugitive across state lines after he fled the jurisdiction that sentenced him.
