Conwy Council announces speed limit changes and local planning updates

Conwy Council has issued several public notices regarding infrastructure and planning within the region. Proposed changes include reducing the speed limit on Conway Road in Penmaenmawr from 40mph to 30mph for a 650-metre stretch starting from the A55 Puffin Island roundabout junction.

In Llandudno, planning applications have been submitted for the redevelopment of a building at Bryn Ifan into a house, as well as a project to construct 43 affordable dwellings at the former Nant y Coed Primary School site. Additionally, the Llandudno Visitor Centre has applied for a new premises licence to allow for the sale of alcohol at its Victoria Shopping Centre unit.

Temporary traffic orders are also in effect. A prohibition on vehicles on Ty’n y Coed Road in Llandudno has been implemented for up to seven weeks to facilitate repairs, while a seven-day order on Walton Crescent in Llandudno Junction is in place for Scottish Power works.
