Coolclub's SEI Festival and Street Food Festival Energize Salento
On 4 August, the SEI Festival organized by Coolclub continued its summer programme in Salento with two events. At the Castello di Corigliano d’Otranto, the show “Qualcosa di grande – La compilation dei Millennials” combined theatre and live music, directed by Maria Cassi and Leonardo Brizzi, and reflected on the cultural shifts that shaped the millennial generation. In Specchia’s Palazzo Risolo, bassist‑producer Dario Giacovelli (performing as Dario Jacques) presented his new project “SANG”, blending jazz, soul and electronic sounds. The festival is supported by Italy’s Ministry of Culture, the Puglia region and local authorities.
A week later, from 10 to 11 August, the Street Food Festival opened in Marina di Mancaversa. Organized by Tipico Eventi and the Associazione Zarathustra, the free‑entry event featured Italian and international street‑chef stalls, a wide selection of beers and cocktails, and nightly music. Highlights included a pizzica performance by the group Trainanti on Monday and an 80‑90s “Space Hit” party on Tuesday. The festival aims to promote local gastronomy and entertainment during the Salento summer tour.
