Coop replaces Interdiscount leader Pierre Wenger with Constantin Hilt
Coop has announced an immediate change in leadership for its electronics retailer, Interdiscount. Pierre Wenger is stepping down as head of the chain after 16 years in the role and 25 years with the Coop Group. Wenger will leave the group at the end of September by mutual agreement.
Coop credited Wenger with successfully navigating the digital transformation of the electronics market, integrating Microspot.ch, and building a profitable online business. Under his leadership, Interdiscount reportedly increased market share and improved profitability over the last three years through investments in logistics and technology.
Constantin Hilt has been appointed as the new head of Interdiscount, effective immediately. Hilt, who currently serves as the Omnichannel Project Manager, originally joined the Coop Group 18 years ago as a trainee. After a period working in various entrepreneurial roles outside the company between 2018 and 2024, he returned to Coop earlier this year.
