Costa Rica updates tourism initiatives and industrial certifications
Costa Rica is seeing various developments across its tourism and industrial sectors. Eco-tour operator Bahía Aventuras has launched new promotional tours to Corcovado National Park to encourage domestic tourism. These packages, departing from Punta Uvita, include entrance fees, bilingual guides, maritime transit, and meals, with prices set at US$130 for national adults and US$100 for children under 10.
In the industrial sector, the company Proquinal has obtained the ‘Marca País esencial COSTA RICA’ license. Based in Alajuela, the company specializes in high-quality coated textiles and medical biosecurity surfaces, exporting to over 75 countries.
Additionally, the hospitality industry is shifting toward ‘smart hotels’ to remain competitive. Experts suggest that integrating advanced technology, such as WiFi 6 and Internet of Things (IoT) systems, is becoming a necessity. These technologies help meet the demands of remote workers and can reduce hotel electricity costs by up to 30% through automated energy management.
