Cooper Connolly sets Australian cricket record in Zimbabwe

Australian all-rounder Cooper Connolly has set a new national record during the One-Day International series against Zimbabwe in Harare. At 23 years and 27 days old, Connolly has become the youngest Australian male cricketer to record three consecutive fifty-plus scores in ODIs.

In addition to his batting success, Connolly has successfully returned to bowling his left-arm spin following a five-month hiatus due to back issues. During the first ODI, he contributed a half-century and took 1-23 in four overs. He noted that he has refined his bowling action to be straighter to reduce strain on his back as he continues to build his workload.
