Cooper Flagg, the Newport, Maine, native and 2025 No. 1 NBA draft pick, was recently seen in his hometown. The 19-year-old forward for the Dallas Mavericks was spotted at Cervesas Southwest Grill in Newport while picking up takeout.

During the visit, Flagg stopped to take a selfie with two local residents, Brittany Curtis and Laura Emery. Flagg was in Maine during August to attend and host several events.
