Cooper Lutkenhaus emerges as elite 800m track phenom

Cooper Lutkenhaus, a 17-year-old American middle-distance runner, has emerged as a premier talent in the international 800m circuit. After turning professional at age 16 and signing with Nike, Lutkenhaus became the youngest individual world champion in track and field history by winning the 800m at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Poland.

Lutkenhaus has achieved significant success in the Diamond League, securing multiple wins and defeating reigning Olympic gold and silver medalists. His recent accomplishments include winning both the indoor and outdoor U.S. national titles. Despite his professional status and international accolades, he is currently preparing to return to high school for his senior year.
