Cooperativa Integral Independencia transitions to agro-industrial supplier

Cooperativa Integral Independencia Ltda., based in Carcarañá, has successfully transitioned from a financial institution to a key player in the agro-industrial supply sector. Originally founded in 1979 as a cooperative bank through the merger of various credit unions in southern Santa Fe, the entity operated in the financial sector until the mid-1990s. Following the banking restructuring and the 2001 crisis, the organization redefined its business model to become an official distributor for YPF Agro.

The cooperative currently supplies fuels, lubricants, and agricultural inputs to small and medium-sized producers, transport companies, and various industrial sectors. Its operational influence extends approximately 80 kilometers around Carcarañá, covering parts of southern Santa Fe and the Rosario metropolitan area.

Leadership noted that the demand for fuels and lubricants serves as a significant economic indicator. After facing challenges due to climate issues and recession, the cooperative has observed a gradual recovery in 2026, driven by a strong agricultural campaign and increased activity in the construction and transport sectors.
