Cooperativa Vinícola Garibaldi expands presence in Southeast Brazil
Cooperativa Vinícola Garibaldi is expanding its market presence in Brazil's Southeast region, driven by strong performance in Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro. In Minas Gerais, the state accounts for 28% of the cooperative's revenue in the Southeast, with sparkling wines and grape juice each representing significant portions of sales. In Rio de Janeiro, sparkling wines and grape juices each hold a 40% share of the state's sales, contributing to 15% of the cooperative's total Southeast revenue.
The cooperative, based in the Serra Gaúcha region, expects sparkling wine sales to grow by up to 15% by the end of 2026. This growth is supported by seasonal demand during the final quarter of the year and a diverse product portfolio ranging from entry-level and non-alcoholic options to premium lines like Prosecco and Moscatel.
Founded in 1931, the cooperative manages 470 members who produce approximately 30 million kilograms of grapes annually across 1,200 hectares. The Garibaldi region in Rio Grande do Sul remains a central hub for Brazilian viticulture and sparkling wine production.
