Goiás government presents economic potential to 17 nations

The government of Goiás hosted ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from 17 countries at the Palácio Pedro Ludovico Teixeira in Goiânia. Organized by the International Affairs Cabinet (GAI) and requested by the Foreign Trade Chamber of Fecomex, the meeting aimed to showcase the state's strategic economic potential and identify international cooperation opportunities.

The event coincided with the FICCA Goiás 2026 trade fair. During the session, five state agencies—covering culture, science and technology, industry, agriculture, and tourism—presented projects focused on industrial development, agribusiness, innovation, and tourism. Participating nations included representatives from Ivory Coast, Belarus, Jordan, Thailand, Ethiopia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mozambique, Namibia, Kenya, Singapore, Nigeria, Congo, Chile, Rwanda, Mexico, and Zambia.

Additionally, the FICCA Goiás 2026 fair officially opened with over 200 exhibitors. The event emphasizes the integration of industry, commerce, cooperatives, entrepreneurship, and agribusiness to promote job creation and networking within the region.
