CooperVision launches childhood vision and myopia control campaign

CooperVision has launched a new campaign titled ‘Because vision should not be their limit’ to promote childhood and adolescent visual health screenings. The initiative focuses on myopia prevention and control, aiming to educate families during the back-to-school season.

Data from the company indicates a significant gap in awareness: 69% of parents do not know how to slow the progression of childhood myopia, and only 6% consider it a problem. The campaign uses sports as a central theme to illustrate how uncorrected vision can impact a child's performance, safety, and confidence in daily activities, such as tracking a ball or calculating distances.

The campaign emphasizes the critical role of opticians and optometrists, noting that professional recommendations can double the likelihood of parents adopting myopia control solutions. To facilitate this, the website Revisasuvista.com has been established as a resource for families to learn about myopia management and coordinate appointments with local optical professionals.
