CooperVision opens global innovation hub in Southampton

CooperVision has opened The Vision Centre, a new global innovation hub located in Southampton, England. The facility is designed to integrate research and development, clinical expertise, and pilot manufacturing to accelerate the commercialization of eye care solutions.

Alongside the opening, the company announced an ambitious product pipeline featuring six major advancements. These include the development of a complete family of 1-day contact lenses for myopia control, novel premium 1-day silicone hydrogel (SiHy) technology, and next-generation SiHy materials for monthly contact lenses. Other planned innovations include advanced 1-day SiHy toric multifocal lenses and new experiences for astigmatic patients.
