COOPMEDICA reports RD$14.8 billion in assets and 20.9% growth

During its XLVIII Annual General Assembly of Members, the medical cooperative COOPMEDICA reported significant financial growth for the 2025 fiscal year. The institution reached net assets of RD$14.8 billion, representing a 20.9% increase from the previous year. The cooperative currently serves 71,394 active members and reported a net surplus of RD$453 million.

Financial activities included the disbursement of RD$6.88 billion through 8,708 loans. Notably, 68% of these loans—totaling 5,954 disbursements—were granted to women. The organization maintained a solvency index of 16.20%.

In addition to financial results, the assembly honored doctors Francisco Estepan Herrera, Andrés Roberto Rivas Peña, and Luis Ramón Grullón Estrella for their professional trajectories and contributions to the cooperative. The institution also announced the launch of MIA, an intelligent virtual assistant available via WhatsApp, social media, and its website to enhance member services.
