Coopérative U recalls canned goods due to mislabeling

Coopérative U is conducting a large-scale product recall across France following labeling errors in several canned food items. Customers who purchased certain 840g cans labeled as cassoulet may find they actually contain tartiflette.

The mislabeling poses a potential health risk because the tartiflette contains sulfites, an allergen that was not disclosed on the cassoulet packaging. The affected cassoulet cans are lot number 1946K2H083 with a best-before date of March 31, 2029.

Additionally, the retailer previously recalled cans of sausages with lentils that were found to contain sauerkraut instead. Consumers are advised to return the affected products to their place of purchase for a full refund.
